A project set for 2012
publication, a book of photography and
writings on the modern and increasingly
cosmopolitan metropolis of Beijing, is
tentatively entitled:
BEIJING INTERNATIONAL
An Ancient Capital's Renaissance in the
Age of Globalization
Advance excerpts are
available for publication subject to
publishing house approval. The project's
240 images are posted on a non-public,
non-search-indexed web gallery and may
be viewed by request.
In late July the
writer and photographer completed the
on-site stage of an assignment in
Southwest China, laying the groundwork
and shooting photos for his most recent
book project. The text, completed in
late September, and approximately 220
images cover regional ecological
protection efforts, culture, industry
and the land and people of Guiyang, the
capital of Guizhou Province. Set for
2012 publication, the total work is
tentatively entitled:
